| Introduction |
|
 |
This is the answer to today's demand for truly energy efficient buildings! |
Why not build tomorrows home today... with Korwall foam core panels. |
You will never have to re-insulate a Korwall Home! |
|
|
| The Structure |
| Korwall panels eliminate the chimney effect between studs in a fire. A solid wall is more
difficult to burn or destroy. Since there are no harmful chemicals in the panel
there is no greater hazard in a fire than with wood. |
| Tests have proven that Korwall wall panels can carry twice the downward load and five times the racking wind load than 2 X 4 studs 16 inch on center. |
| Engineering data is available upon request. Korwall Panels are listed in the (CABO) Council of American Building Officials Report No. NER 342,
which includes BOCA, ICBO, and SBCC, and in the HUD 1101 Structural Engineering Bulletin.

| The Ice Chest Effect... |
| Just as a thin layer of foam serves as an excellent ice chest, Korwall foam core panels insulate the entire
structure without the many voids found with conventional framing. Air and moisture infiltration is virtually eliminated.
|
| Korwall Foam Core Panels assure the proper installation of insulation. A completed Korwall building is
as tight as an ice chest. The location of vapor barrier is of no concern, since the foam
along with the glue lines is the vapor barrier.
|
|
| Effective 'R' Value... |
| With conventional systems, excessive infiltration cancels the effectiveness of high "R" insulations. |
| Expanded Polystyrene is a closed cell product not allowing air transfer. Fiberglass, cellulose or other types of fiber insulations are open cell,
allowing air and moisture to pass through it, thereby breaking down its effectiveness. |
| The thermal performance of a Korwall foam core panel home is far better than open frame cavities filled with loose fill insulation. |
|
| Cost Effective... |
| Your Korwall building can look like any building you have ever seen or dreamed of. Construction costs are only as much
as any other super quality home, but continued savings on heating and cooling costs are forever |
